We’ve heard from some of our authors that after using H2O for a little while, their dashboard can get cluttered with old, discarded drafts, unfinished remixes, test books and the like. We’ve seen the same thing in our testing – not all casebooks are created equal, and sometimes you need to be able to do a little weeding.

Some casebooks are long. Really long. So long, in fact, that it can be frustrating to have to scroll through the whole casebook to find the particular section or case you want.

H2O is now sharing a casebook directory, a source of free or open resources for legal education. The casebook directory is made available as part of H2O, a project of the Library Innovation Lab at the Harvard Law School Library.

We’ve had some recent, exciting developments in the world of H2O, building on work already done that allows more than one user to edit casebooks as well as the integration with the Caselaw Access Project.

H2O has been around for a while, consistently worked on to make it simpler and more useful for instructors and students. One feature that’s been requested for some time, though, is now finally public: “collaborators” – the ability for multiple users to make changes to the same casebook-syllabus without having to share login info.
